Town of Westford, Vermont

Westford is a town of just over 2,200 people. It is in Chittenden County, but borders on Franklin County. To learn more about Westford, please visit the official website at www.westfordvt.us. Although Westford used to be a farming community, there are only a few working farms left. There are still lots of horses and gardeners who live in Westford, but most residents work outside of town. We have an easy commute, since Coyote Ridge is located 25 minutes from St. Albans, Smugglers' Notch Resort and Essex Junction (IBM), and only 40 minutes from Burlington. You will be able to work from home if you are fortunate enough to have a job that allows this, as you are able to have a DSL connection through the phone lines or through Comcast's fiber optic cable.

For potential buyers of Coyote Ridge who have school-age children, I can highly recommend the Westford Elementary School which houses grades K-8. It is small but has very dedicated teachers, many of whom taught my children when they were growing up. We do not have a high school, but the town pays tuition for our students to go to any surrounding high school of their choice. My children all went to Essex High School, and they have all gone on to good colleges since, earning advanced degrees to support their present professional careers. Westford School gave them a wonderful education and athletic background on which to build. Learn more at the School's website: www.ccsuvt.org/westford.
